Artist Demonstrations, Workshops, and Lectures
Throughout the week there will be scheduled artist demonstrations, workshops, and lectures by juried artists.  Listen and learn how artists create a painting.  Learn about the history of plein air painting.

Reception, Awards & Sale
For four days artists will paint picturesque scenes throughout Bath County.  They will select their two best works to be judged in The People’s Choice and Peer Review Best in Show awards.  Be one of the first to experience and purchase paintings during this festive event.  Enjoy the company of friends, a glass of wine, hors d’oeuvres, and conversation with participating artists.  Cast your vote for the top three paintings in the exhibit!  The winning paintings will be for sale immediately after judging.

Quick Paint
This event is open to the public.  Any artist who wishes to participate is welcome— professional artists, amateurs, the adventurous!  Artist of every medium are invited to set up their supplies and paint en plein air in Hot Springs. You have two hours to complete your painting.  Steve Doherty, editor of Plein Air Magazine will be the judge.  The paintings will be available for purchase after judging.  The First Place Award recipient receives an invitation to be a featured artist at the 2015 Bath County Plein Air Festival.

Sunrise Paint Out and Brunch
Join the 2014 featured artists for a light breakfast and conversation. Artists will display their paintings from a sunrise paint out and talk about their work and process. Purchase two or more paintings at special event pricing.  Don’t miss an opportunity to take home original art by some of the best plein air painters in the country!
